Hi from Freddie, Lauren, Martyn & Ralph.

Welcome to our world of wagging tails, happy paws and perfectly timed head tilts. We’re Freddie (creative director and model), Lauren (photographer and treat negotiator), Martyn (light-wrangler and backup ball chucker) and Ralph (Freddie’s brother and poser extrondinare).

Lauren studied A - level photography in 2007 but left the world of photos behind to pursue different avenues, now years later after getting Freddie the Cavachon in 2017 (her first ever dog) and Ralph the Australian Labradoodle in 2018 she soon found the love for photography again. Creating beautiful photos of her boys that will last forever sparked the idea to create this studio. Freddie is Lauren’s first dog and opened up a space in her heart she never knew existed, Freddie is cuddly, cheeky and little food monster who will do anything for treats except have his photo taken, so figuring out a style of photography that means there is no posing involved was top on the list for this studio, working with Freddie has helped to achieve this technique. Ralph is Freddie’s not so little brother and when he came along like an anxious, over excited pup in a china shop Lauren embarked on a 2 year training to gain her dog training qualifications with The Dog Training Collage. This has enabled Lauren to understand and learn Ralph, his body language, what he was trying to say and how to manage and create stress free environments for him to thrive. So the other non negotiable for this studio was creating a force free environment where the shoots are 100% dog lead and conditioning is key.

Martyn, who co-pawrents Freddie & Ralph, has always been a dog lover from a young age after falling in love with his first dog Lucy The Spaniel. He’s a real life dog whisperer and animals just naturally gravitate towards him. Around Martyn they instantly feel comfortable. The amount of times he gets “my dog doesn’t normally like people” is astonishing so when talking about assisting on dog photoshoots he jumped straight in. He has years of experience handling dogs and has no issues rolling around with the smallest to the biggest of pups.
